I don't know if they still are but when I checked the ingredients, there were no milk. I actually thought that was shocking!

Well, I read the whole ingredient and there's no animal ingredient involved.

I'm just wondering why other countries still use milk but then again it might have to do with the cost of the ingredients and maybe milk is cheaper depending where they live.

I don't know why it is different in other countries either.
It is weird U.S. versions of foods are different than in other countries.
I know Sour Patch Kids [US wise] have no gelatin.

PETA says they are vegan: http://www.peta.org/living/vegetarian-living/accidentally-vegan.aspx

This lists the ingredients: http://www.nabiscoworld.com/Brands/ProductInformation.aspx?BrandKey=ritz&Site=&Product=4400000820

But then a quick search on different forums says they are not vegan, or not vegan in other countries, besides the U.S.

It may have to do with how much they have to spend for ingredients and I'm sure prices vary in different countries.

Prices of other things vary in different countries - so why not food?
Cool - other companies make vegan cookies too.
Cookies sound good now.

I was very surprised when I found out! They have no nutritional value whatsoever but make for a nice treat once in awhile. I was also overjoyed to find that Sour Patch Kids are vegan as well. My favorite candy just happened to be on the OKAY list. :D

Of course there is no nutritional value - or redeeming qualities - but live a little! eat a cookie.
I love Sour Patch Kids! I am so glad there is a gummy candy that is ok to eat. Plus it is a little sour.

I very sharp combination of yellow base and black sleeves. There is a suitable lining of yellow on the B3 Sheepskin Bomber Flying Jacket.
