I don't but it sounds good to me.
Maybe just try finding "ham" and make the basic recipe?

Morning star makes a sausage substitute that might work for you depending on how 'hammy' you want it to be. I really just prefer to slowly cook the beans with different herbs and spices. The herbs and spices will depend on my mood.

They have tons of recipes, and they're are all divided up into categories. Good luck

My mom makes normal ham and beans but takes some out for me before she puts the ham in. She does the same with chili and hamburger.

Last time she made it [ham and beans] she put in some carrots, celery, and spices - I liked it. So for me it was more bean soup than ham and bean.
