The processed ones cost a lot--you're right. But you can eat vegan without buying them. The non-vegan vegetarian products are also spendy (Quorn, Morningstar Farms, Boca...)
Love that site! Also, I don't know what country you're from, but I've found alot of cheap stuff in England. What I will say is that you have to do a lot of your own preparation and cooking... but it's all worth while!
